Steelmaking in converter furnace

MagFlu can increase the magnesium oxide content of slag, form a wear-resistant slag shell on the converter lining, and improve the service life of the furnace lining.

MagFlu  flux with a high magnesium oxide content is used when making steel in converters in order to increase the magnesium oxide content in slag and to increase the service life of lining of the converter.

MagFlu  is added to material charge during converter operation and after completing oxygen lancing of metal before steel discharge in order to saturate working and remaining slag with magnesium oxide, and also during slag blowing with nitrogen in order to build a high-strength slag layer on lining . It can be effectively applied in combined blowing steelmaking converters.

Advantages

01 Technically, it can effectively replace magnesium oxide compound melt containing dolomite and magnesite.

02 Quickly improve the content of magnesium oxide in slag

03Improve the problem of slag foaming

04An effective wear-resistant slag shell is formed on the furnace lining during steelmaking.

05Improve the life of the furnace lining

06Reduce the cost of steel production
